Our Story

House of Kreole (“H.O.K.”) was originally formed in 2020, with the goal of bringing together a dynamic community of local creatives, celebrating the diverse range of Mauritian artists, people, heritage and culture.

A small island off the east coast of Africa, Mauritius is called home to a large number of creative people from all over the world. Australian based founder, Chloe Brasse, felt inspired to create a platform where she could honour her heritage and showcase her creative work alongside like-minded artists, both locally and internationally, promoting the wide range of talent in the fields of; art, design, music, cuisine and more.

Inspired by our family's generations of unique and varied creative individuals, House of Kreole is a space where creativity knows no bounds, and where the past and present harmoniously converge to inspire and captivate all of the senses.

While we are dedicated to preserving the essence of our heritage, we are also committed to introducing fresh perspectives and influences into the realms of art and culture, with the goal of promoting our beautiful island Mauritius as a renowned creative nation.
